How does Fibroblast Skin Tightening work?

The treatment is performed with a plasma pen creating micro burns in the area of concern. These leave a dark spot that falls off in 5-7 days. The area treated will immediately tighten, and begin to use its own bodies healing mechanisms to create new skin, as well as collagen to achieve younger, firmer looking skin.

Does Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening Hurt?

Lidocaine is applied 30 minutes prior to the treatment area, minimizing discomfort. Immediately after the procedure, there will be a burning sensation, similar to a sunburn that will last a few hours.

What are the Side Effects of this procedure?

There may be swelling, and there will be tiny dots that remain on the area for 5-7 days until they fall off. It is important to keep the area clean, and dry to avoid possible infection. If the area will be exposed to sunlight, sunscreen must be applied for the next 6 weeks - 3 months.

What can I expect after my Fibroblast plasma treatment?

Skin will heal gradually over the next 6 weeks, and you will notice tightening and smoothing of wrinkles. Results are dependant on skin type, lifestyle, skin thickness, etc.

What is the aftercare?

Immediately after treatment there will be a burning sensation. You may use a cold cloth to soothe the area (avoid ice packs) or take an ibuprofen. If there is significant swelling, you may take an antihistamine. It is important to keep the area clean and dry. Mineral make up may be applied after 3 days. The downtime in this procedure is minimal especially compared to surgical procedures.
